Radiesse Lidocaine is a filler based on calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier with a high water content. It is biocompatible, which means no allergy testing is required before the treatment. CaHA and its components, calcium and phosphorus, occur naturally in human tissue.

Fibroblast stimulation

Thanks to the gel carrier, the filling effect is visible immediately after the treatment. Over time (after around 4 months) the gel is absorbed by macrophages and disappears, and its place is taken by new collagen produced by fibroblasts.

Collagen synthesis

New collagen is produced around the calcium hydroxyapatite microparticles, which form a scaffold within the tissue and act as a stimulating factor for the production of collagen fibres. As a result, the skin naturally becomes thicker and more elastic.
