PDO Eye Mono threads on a cannula are threads for the eye area. The Neo Mono thread is made of PDO, which triggers a self-healing process when the thread is introduced into the skin. The Neo Mono Thread is used to speed up collagen and elastin synthesis.
How do PDO threads work?
Polydioxanone (PDO) is a synthetic fibre that fully dissolves in the tissue after a certain time. It has been used to make skin and subcutaneous sutures, which is why it has been used in medicine for many years. The idea of using PDO threads in aesthetic treatments was born in Korea and gained popularity worldwide. The treatment involves introducing the PDO thread under the skin (into selected areas) using a very fine needle. Once inserted, the needle is removed and a dressing is applied to the skin. The treatment creates a kind of scaffold, around which the body begins the process of neocollagenesis (production of new collagen fibres), stimulation of fibroblasts to increased elastin synthesis, and synthesis of endogenous hyaluronic acid.

Professional use
Where a manufacturer states that a product is for professional use only, that is how we supply it. We may ask you to evidence your professional registration before we sell you a restricted product, and we keep a record that we checked.
CE marking
Where a product is a medical device, it carries the CE marking applied by its manufacturer under the relevant EU regulation. CE marking means the manufacturer has declared conformity with the applicable requirements. It is not an approval or an endorsement by us, and we describe products as CE marked, never as CE approved.
Instructions, batches and certificates
Always read the manufacturer instructions for use supplied with the product. Where you need a declaration of conformity, a batch number, an expiry date or a certificate, ask us and we will get it.
If something goes wrong
A product safety or quality concern is urgent and is handled differently to an ordinary complaint. Stop using the product, keep the packaging and the batch number, and tell us the same day. Full detail is in our complaints and product safety policy.
