Ellansé S is a product from the biostimulator family, that is, substances that stimulate the synthesis of our own collagen. Its properties come from its composition: carboxymethylcellulose, which makes up 70% of the product, and polycaprolactone particles (30%) evenly suspended in it. The carboxymethylcellulose is responsible for the tissue-filling effect visible immediately after treatment. The medical polymer polycaprolactone, thanks to its perfectly smooth particle larger than 20 µm, becomes encapsulated after being introduced into the skin. A scaffold forms for a network of high-quality type I collagen that improves skin density. As a result of these processes, Ellanse is a treatment that not only fills but also rejuvenates, restoring skin density and firmness. Full integration of the product with the extracellular matrix makes it practically imperceptible, allowing a natural-looking result both at rest and during facial expression. Ellanse is safe and completely biodegradable, and after administration no allergic reactions or granulomas are observed. Immediately after administration with a needle or cannula, a filling effect is achieved. After about a month, a partial loss of the gained volume is observed, caused by the degradation of the carboxymethylcellulose solution in the product. In the following months, collagen is gradually synthesised, so the face not only regains lost volume but skin quality also improves.
