DIVES Med. Art. Grade Premium are Korean threads for skin redermalization and thickening. Made from polydioxanone of appropriate quality and safety confirmed by the CE and KFDA medical certificate. The thread is built from a single PDO fibre joined to a comfortable boat-shaped cannula, ensuring safe and easy implantation. Thanks to the cannula, the procedure reduces the risk of bruising and tissue damage.
How do PDO threads work?
Polydioxanone (PDO) is a synthetic fibre that, after some time, dissolves completely in the tissue. It has been used in the production of dermal and subcutaneous sutures, and has therefore been used in medicine for many years. The idea of using PDO threads in aesthetic procedures started in Korea and quickly gained popularity worldwide. The procedure involves inserting PDO threads under the skin (in selected areas) using a very thin needle. After insertion, the needle is removed and a dressing is applied to the skin. The treatment creates a kind of scaffold, around which the body begins the process of neocollagenesis (production of new collagen fibres), stimulation of fibroblasts to increased synthesis of elastin, and synthesis of endogenous hyaluronic acid. After the procedure, the skin becomes more supple, tightened and elastic.
