How does the Derma Roller work?
The Derma Roller uses tiny needles to pierce the skin, creating microscopic channels. These micro-injuries start and speed up the production of collagen and elastin, slowing skin ageing, and they increase the penetration of nutrients you apply into the dermis. The main job of the device is to remove dead skin and loosen the bonds between its cells while stimulating the living layers of the skin. This increases blood flow in the skin and prompts fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin. Each treatment gradually reduces the depth of scars. Even the smallest damage to the epidermis activates the self-renewal process. With age the skin's ability to self-renew decreases, which you can notice, for example, in slower healing wounds. Regular micro-perforation of the epidermis is a safe way to stimulate skin regeneration, resulting in thicker skin.
Before each treatment, cleanse and dry the skin. Then you can roll the skin about 10 times in each direction (right, left, up, down, diagonally). The whole treatment should last from 3 to 10 minutes, depending on how intensely you roll. To boost the effect, you can also apply an anti-wrinkle serum or another nourishing product. After the treatment, disinfect the derma roller with a solution or wash it under running water.
