Cutanplast Dental haemostatic sponge is a topical haemostatic agent in the form of absorbable gelatine sponges, used after tooth extraction and other minor surgical procedures accompanied by bleeding. The sponges are fully sterile, gamma-ray sterilised, and are completely absorbed within three weeks. The product provides effective control of local bleeding while placing minimal strain on the tissues.
Effective haemostasis and fast clotting
Cutanplast has a strong haemostatic action, helping to stop bleeding at the treatment site. The gelatine sponge absorbs up to 50 times its own weight, which speeds up the clotting process and effectively supports natural haemostasis. Full resorbability of the material within three weeks removes the need to remove the sponge after the procedure.
Comfort of use and flexibility
Cutanplast can be trimmed to the required size using sterile scissors, which allows the sponge to be fitted to the specific treatment area. The uniform porosity of the material provides predictable and even haemostatic action throughout the volume of the sponge. Low adhesion to surgical instruments makes it easier to place the sponge precisely at the bleeding site without the risk of accidental displacement.
Area of use
- oral cavity
- other parts of the body for small wounds requiring local haemostasis
