CALCIPAST MEGA PACK Cerkamed is a professional calcium hydroxide paste for the temporary filling of root canals and deep cavities, supporting remineralisation and acting antibacterially in the oral cavity.
Remineralisation and antibacterial action
Thanks to its high content of calcium hydroxide and hydroxyapatite, it actively supports the rebuilding of the tooth's hard tissues and remineralisation. The released calcium ions favour the regeneration of periapical tissues and the healing process. The high pH of the paste (around 12.5 to 13) creates an environment unfavourable to bacterial growth, which is key in endodontic treatment and helps maintain the health of tooth tissue.
Non-hardening formula and radiographic contrast
The non-hardening, soft consistency of the paste makes it easy both to apply and to remove completely from the root canal afterwards, which is important in temporary treatment. In addition, the presence of barium sulphate gives the product high radiographic contrast, so the paste is clearly visible on X-rays, which makes it easier to monitor the course of treatment and assess the position of the material in the canal.
Stimulation of natural rebuilding processes
Once placed in the cavity, the product begins releasing active calcium ions, which stimulate the formation of secondary and reparative dentine. This property is extremely valuable in cases of indirect and direct pulp capping, and in situations requiring the regeneration of periapical tissues. The product supports the natural repair processes of the tooth.
