Agatos "S" Chema is a fast-setting phosphate cement in powder and liquid form, intended for cementing crowns, bridges and post-and-core inlays, and for making bases in dentistry. The main component of the powder is zinc oxide, and of the liquid, phosphoric acid, which when mixed in the right proportions form basic zinc phosphate, giving a tight, durable and strong cement bond. The product mixes easily, sets quickly and has high mechanical strength, making it a practical and effective solution in everyday dental practice.
Fast setting and high mechanical strength
Agatos "S" sets quickly and efficiently, which shortens treatment time and increases comfort for both the dentist and the patient. Once set, the cement shows high compressive strength and good adhesion to tooth tissue, giving a stable and durable bond between prosthetic elements and the preparation. The low shrinkage of the material minimises the risk of microgaps at the cement-tooth border, which supports a tight bond and long-term stability of the prosthetic restorations.
Resistance to the oral environment and long-term durability
Once set, Agatos "S" cement is resistant to water, saliva and compounds found in food, which translates into long-term durability in the oral environment. This property keeps the cement bond stable even when exposed to the changing moisture, temperature and chemical conditions that occur during chewing and eating. The cement keeps its mechanical properties for a long time, minimising the risk of loosening or loss of retention of the prosthetic restorations.
Universal use in prosthetics and endodontics
Agatos "S" is a universal solution for various dental procedures, from cementing crowns, bridges and post-and-core inlays, through making thin-layer and thick-layer bases, to filling root canals, especially when preparing a tooth for root apex resection. The product mixes easily, which significantly improves the dentist's work and allows precise cement application. The complete set contains a spoon for the powder and a dropper for the liquid, which makes it easier to dose the components in the right proportions.
Benefits
- fast and efficient setting of the material, shortens treatment time
- high compressive strength once set
- good adhesion to tooth tissue, stable cementing
- low shrinkage, minimises the risk of microgaps
- easy and convenient cement mixing
- resistance to water, saliva and compounds found in food
- complete set containing a spoon for the powder and a dropper for the liquid
Area of use
- oral cavity, teeth, for cementing prosthetic restorations, making bases and filling root canals
Directions for use
- mix on the matt surface of a glass plate using a stainless steel or chromed spatula
- add the powder to the liquid in small portions (never the other way round, to ensure correct proportions and control of consistency)
- mix and grind the components carefully to a uniform paste consistency
- apply the cement immediately after mixing because of the fast setting time
- when filling root canals, remember that the cement is very hard once set and can be difficult to remove
